Weimaraner, Stoli, Leaves Paw Prints in AKC History Books as First AKC Grand Champion
The American Kennel Club’s first-ever Grand Champion title earner – a 4-year-old Weimaraner named GCH Monterra’s Best Bet, MH, affectionately known as "Stoli" bred and owned by Elizabeth Krupinski and co-owned by Timothy Bintner of Elizabeth, Colorado and handled by Tad Walden, completed the title requirements to earn the newest AKC title at the Coronado Kennel Club all-breed dog show on May 18, 2010.
Stoli completed his title with 25 Grand Championship points, including five majors, which he won at six consecutive shows held in Albuquerque, N.M. on May 14-18, 2010. He won a Best of Breed and also a Best of Opposite Sex at two specialties held on May 14 by the Weimaraner Club of Albuquerque. On May 15-16 Stoli won Best of Breed at the Rio Grande Kennel Club dog shows. Finally, on May 17-18, Stoli won Best of Breed at the Coronado Kennel Club dog shows.
